Mujeres Victoriosas

Mujeres Victoriosas (Victorious Women) is a space of empowerment for those who identify as women. Meeting monthly, our mujeres talk about their day-to-day lives, share meals, create art, and build community.

Mujeres Victoriosas was founded due to ICE kidnapping community members- and women left to pick up the pieces after suddenly finding themselves as single mothers. We created a space for women to process their trauma and build a support network. Since then, the women in the group have talked about the impact of machismo, danced Zumba together, discussed foods, smells, and sounds from their cultures, and organized mutual aid support.
