Hudson Community Members Released from Detention

Thanks to the determination of their families and the hard work and support of CCSM members and others in our community, several young men who were detained over the past couple of months have been released on bail and are now reunited with their families and children.  We welcome them back home, and we applaud their strength as we continue to support them during this time of financial and emotional hardship.

Beautiful Music in Chatham Raises Money for CCSM

A heartfelt thank you to pianist Timothy Dunne, soprano Amanda Boyd and host Jack Spear for their benefit concert on June 24 in support of CCSM families. A full house of music lovers donated $770 to support families in our community.  We appreciate Tim and Amanda’s thoughtfulness and generosity in reaching out to CCSM and offering their support in such a unique and creative way. As Juan Sanchez said afterwards, the performance was muy especial

Know Your Rights Training

Thank you to all who participated in, organized, and supported CCSM's first Know Your Rights training on June 23rd!  First and foremost, thank you to the Centro Cristiano Renacer and Father Marcelino, who requested and hosted the training that was attended by over 50 people. The information was important and appreciated, and it became clear through the training that there is also a great need for case-specific information to be offered at legal clinics in our community.  One such clinic is being organized in Kingston on August 18 by Catholic Charities Ulster, and CCSM will bring this service to Columbia County with the launch of our Family Preparedness Plan in the coming months.  See below for ways to support and get involved!
